Mission Statement: The purpose of the Institute for Medical Research, Inc. is to facilitate and promote research and education at the Durham Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Welcome to the Institute for Medical Research!
This handbook was designed to acquaint you with IMR and provide you with information about how to manage and utilize your research funds, purchase equipment and hire personnel. You should familiarize yourself with the contents of this handbook, for it will answer most of your questions regarding the management of your research funds with IMR.
No handbook can anticipate every circumstance or question, therefore, IMR reserves the right to revise, supplement or rescind any policies or portions of the handbook from time to time as is deemed appropriate by management. Investigators and Employees will be notified of changes to the handbook as they occur. Nothing in these policies is intended or should be construed as a contract of employment, either expressed or implied.
As you become more familiar with IMR you will discover the ease and efficiency of doing business with us and should you have any questions, please stop by our office, located at A2005 in the main hospital.
